How long should I grind coffee beans for using in a French Press?
I know it has to be more coarse than drip ground coffee, but how much more. Can I screw it up somehow?
I've heard that you grind coffee for a drip coffee maker for about 15 seconds. Do you think 10-12 seconds for a French Press be adequate?
is it just Trial and Error?
sorry it's a cheapy blade grinder.
to be on the safe side, i would go for about 8-10 seconds, for a french press you want it to be really coarse so it doesn't drain through the filter when you go to pour it.
if your grinder ever breaks, when you go to replace it you could always get one that has the settings already one there and you can turn a dial to select which one you want.
