Pepper Mill
What kind of pepper do you put in a pepper mill?
I am buying a pepper mill for my girlfriend, but have no idea what kind of pepper one should buy with which to fill it.
Please help!
To "TOBY D": I am not just buying her a pepper mill, it is merely one of many presents, including jewellery and clothing. I don't think buying someone a stylish pepper mill is in any way sexist.
You put peppercorns in.
You can put in black pepper, white pepper, green pepper, or any combination. Tellicherry Black is a nice strong black pepper, but you can also find mixes of pepper (e.g.: blacks and greens) Those are nice too.
I'd say it depends on what she does with it. If she's a casual cook, or just uses it for garnish, maybe a mix. If she's a serious cook, I'd actually ask her, but again, tellicherry or a mix.
